Elena Kihlman was born in 1968, in Saint Petersburg, and in 2002 graduated from Master of Art at Fashion and Textile Department of the Helsinki University of Art & Design.
Her Show room and” studio production” is based in Rome, and houses not only her creations, but also intriguing suggestions of the best Northern European designers.
Elena Kihlman designs and produces textile, accessories for interior decoration and hand bags.
Her products are distributed at international level and exposed in the most important design show-rooms. Her collections derive from an attentive research of colors, shapes and materials. The artist’s creations are generated by personal emotions inspired by her deep contact with nature. Each design is the background for a story, a feeling or a landscape: it is the memory of a place in the world and in the soul.
Her designs are the result of craft techniques, using merino wool hand-weaved with alpaca and silk and felted with luxury, natural and synthetic fabrics. Experiments made by the designers in person, limited editions. Each product is unique and original.
